30 Jul CBS “Big Bang Theory” Production Delays Over Contracts And Pay Increases
CBS “Big Bang Theory” production comes to a sudden halt.
Contract negotiation on The Big Bang Theory which was originally scheduled to begin today has been postponed bring the production to a delay.
It is said that Emmy winner Parson, Cuoco and Galecki who currently earns $325,000 per episode are now negotiating to seek bigger salary increases up to $1 million per episoe with a cut of the show’s back-end, few others actors are also negotiating together to seek hefty raises.
With regular viewership of about 20 million viewers per week Big Bang Theory is currently TV’s #1 comedy show in U.S., and although total viewership numbers are not as impressive compare to some popular Korean dramas the series is a key part of CBS’s fall roll-out.
Big Bang Theory is currently in eighth season (first released in September 24 2007) with 160 episodes aired. Average time to shoot an One (1) TV episode in U.S. is 3-5 days.
